Title: Mouse Buttons and Trackball...

Is it really necessary to use 3 mice buttons or will 2 work??  The trackball I have came with 3 pushbuttons to correspond to the 3 buttons.  I am wanting to make sure that I don't actually have to use ALL 3 buttons with MAME.  I am trying to keep from having the 3rd button on my control panel.

just a preference.  if you only want 2, use two.
