Little more info please....do they use Cherry switches? Are they concave? Mounting depth?
-
Great questions. They are convex. I'll add this to the description as it's kind' a important. I don't have my caliper here, but according to my ruler the shaft is about 1 3/8 deep. They can de mounted in a 3/4 inch panel with 1/4 inch Lexan and still have plenty of room for the nut.
They also have an opaque underlay in the middle of the buttons, which give them a frosted appearance. This should avoid the issue everyone is having with the Happs translucent buttons.
Lastly, they are designed to use an LED, so there's no jimmy-rigging needed.

Is the 1-3/8" measurement WITH the switch attached?
I want to know the overall height from the top of the CP to the bottom of the switch, when the switch is attached.
I've got a sitdown that works fine with Sanwas, but won't even come close to fitting a normal Happs.
How noisy are the switches compared to Sanwas and Happs?

Could we get a close-up view of a dismantled button to see what's going on?
-
If you really want Cherry brand switches we can include them for 10 cents each. Also, if you want to buy 15 or more we can take 10 cents off the price.
If you go to my webpage (www.dreamarcades.com/parts), you can click on the image to get a bigger picture.
I'll try to see if I can't get some measurements tonight, and perhaps a picture from the side of the button.

Can they be ordered without the switches? I did not see that option on your site.

NoOne=NBA==,
The buttons are only about 1/4 shorter than a Happ's when assembled. It messures 2 1/4 inches from the lip of the button (where it mounts). Take a look at the picture. The microswitches sound identical to the Cherry brand Happs used. However, they have a little firmer feel to them. Personally I like the feeling better, as I think the Cherry brand feel a little mushy. But obviously I'm a little biased.

Finally, a pre-wired lighted button. That's good news for lazy people like me.

Looks like I'm going to have to get Sanwas then.
I thought these would look pretty cool in Neo-Geo formation, but I just don't have that kind of room underneath.

Any chance you will be selling concave frosted buttons in the future?
-
Any pictures available that show the wiring for the LED's?
-
I was trying to make heads or tails of that picture to no avail, but I figured it out. The LED's are mounted like those mini bulb christmas lights! That's a pretty good idea.

Just use the 12 volt leads from your PC. They connect to the metal terminals on the plastic clip that hold the microswitch.

I see the problem... I was thrown by the use of LED's in incandescent light fixtures.

I guess I'll ask again...Any chance you will be selling CONCAVE frosted buttons in the future?

Sorry, there's very little chance. I was surprised when my manufacturer told me she had these. If I wanted to special order concave I'd have to get like 10,000 of each color or something crazy like that.

I purchased a set of these to check em out. So far I am having real problems getting the button and light assembly to lock in place. I have tried it with about 6 buttons and can't seem to get them to stay together. Anyone else purchase these buttons and did you run into the same problem? I've used teh Illuminated Happs buttons before and it was a simple push it in and twist until it locks in place.
Any ideas?
