Title: Diagrams/dimentions
Post by: Seven7 on July 26, 2005, 07:46:00 pm
I know this has been asked before, with no real awnser, and i even looked in the examples page.  So i was wondering if anyone had dimentions for a candy-style cab.  Sizes, etc.  Or if someone whould be kind enough to take mesurments of his/her own candy cab.

If anyone wants to know, My house is small, and buying one is too much(shipping)

Thanks to anyone who helps....

Ok, I found some basic dimensions, what i need to know is the distance(in inches) from the bottom of the cab to the bottom of the cp.

You might also consider a lowboy style cabinet...  They really don't take up any more room than a candy cab, and would probably net better BYO results (a wooden candy cab would be...strange).

My next project (beyond the current ones) will likely be a lowboy - they're neat!

I, too, am at work, but would be happy to provide what measurements I can from my Super Neo 29 when I get home - if you want any, just let me know what you need.

ANY diagrams or messurments are fine.  And yeah, i know a wood candy cab is strange, i don't pretend to be normal.  But i don't have the celing hight for a standard cab, so this is good.  That, and i like sitting down.  It"ll be a coustom job with a 20" tv.  It will be very strange, however it will work for me.  Anything will be much appreciated.  (for anything above a 20" Ill modify the monitor housing area.  and yeah, the lowboy is a cool cab, I'd prefer a candy though.  At this point iam canda desperet.  So much in fact, i can't spell ;D

The bottom of the control panel is 23" from the ground in the front, 21" at the back.  Top is 26".  The machine is 36" deep overall, excluding the bulge at the back for the monitor chassis.  The machine is overall 56.5" high.

Holler if there are any other specifics you need...

VERY crude, but hopefully it gets the point across...  You can see in the picture that the bottom side of the control panel is angled, and is higher in the front than in the back where it meets the machine.
