Title: Layout disappears in Mamewah after switchin emus.....
Post by: M3talhead on July 26, 2005, 04:37:36 pm
Hey all,

I'm running Mamewah v1.61, and whenever I "Select Platforms" between MAME and my PC games (via the Frontend), I lose the layout/background image I had in MAME, and am left with a blank screen.

I go from this:

To this:

Where did the layout go and what do I need to do/change to make it apear when I select the "PC" menu??

It seems like you have an emulator-specific layout setup.  Make sure your layout is named layout.lay (rather than emuname.lay), and your background image is main.jpg* (not emuname-main.jpg).  (*jpg/bmp/whatever).

BTW nice layout...can I suggest you get rid of the blue highlight bar, so you just have white text for the selected game?  Seems a shame to cover up the backgound image with that blue bar.

Thanks Minwah. I have no idea how I missed that!

Out of curiosity, how were you able to get PC games selectable from Memewah frontend? I can't figure out how to do it because if you make a folder for PC Games you have to provide the path to the .exe file, and with multiple games that would be multiple .exes. How do you go about setting up the PC Game folder with Mamewah 1.61?

Is it possible to place shortcuts in that one folder?
