I'm looking for a pushbutton to use for power my PC on/off. There are plenty out there but what Im looking for is one with a flip guard. You have to flip up the plastic before you can push the button. Since this is the PC power button it has to be a momentary pushbutton not a toggle or rocker switch. I've found plenty of guards for those.
I've search the web for 2 days with no luck, anyone seen those anywhere before?

You can get momentary toggle switches. The guard basically holds the switch in the "off" position anyway.
This what you're looking for?

yes i am looking for the exact same thig that stormy151 is looking for. I dont think the gaurd in that url will work its to small i think, im looking for something to just cover the button and protect it from accidental press's not something to hold the button down? and i think stormy is looking for what i want to.

He needs a guard for a momentary pusbutton, not a toggle switch.
I'll be using a momentary pushbutton for mine, but I won't be using a guard. Rather, I'll be setting mine in so it can't be accidentally pressed. Maybe that'll work for you too.

Hmmmmmm
I need the exact same thing as well.
Without thinking, I put my cab's power button on the underside of my control panel right where my hand needs to go to open the access door to the controller plugs of the Xbox inside.
It'd be great if anyone found some flip guards that covered a standard arcade button.
I honestly hadn't even thought of that solution, and was looking instead to just sink the button into the wood, so that it would be flush, but I'd much rather have the cover.
I am going to do me some searchin as well, and will post back any results if I can find any.

thanks for thethought but i actually would much rather have a cover like i said before, cause that still has a chance of being pressed accidentally, please post anything you find versapak cause i cant find anything

hmm, you could try and make one, if you have some skills with wood/metal/plastic it shouldnt be too hard.
the other option i can think about would be get a ejection panel out of a f-16 or somthing similar

I did find a flip gaurd for 16mm pushbuttons here:
http://www.mouser.com/catalog/622/1070.pdf
They have a very large selection and it shows pricing for single units. I have not ordered anything as I'm still researching and deciding whether I want an illuminated pushbutton or not. Just thought I'd pass along some info.
Stormy, I have not seen a momentary toggle switch anywhere and I didn't seen any at the link you posted.

If your CP sticks out over the sides of your cab, why not mount a pushbutton on the back of the cp. That is what I did with my slikstik CO and it works great and no one hits it my accident.

I cant believe its this hard to find a button guard???????? :'(

Check my earlier port, mouser.com had some and they showed single unit pricing. I was surprised at how hard it was to find this stuff. I thought for sure Radio Shack would have had it but nope.

did you order the ones from mouser?
