I'm almost done with my cab and starting to think about the last piece, i.e. the marquee retainer and marquee.
I got the retainer from Happs and was going to screw it in the top and bottom, but then i started thinking about when i'd have to replace the light bulb that is behind it. I'm thinking of putting hinges on the top half and screwing in the bottom half.
Has anyone else done this? I'm sure that are probably even better ideas out there (as i want to hide the hinges as much as possible

You could hinge the bottom board.

That has my speakers attached to it and it's mounted pretty solid already. I'll have to post a picture later to show you all what i mean.
Then again, i probably can't hinge the top and still put a retainer over it. I might just have to screw the whole thing in and just remove them when the light needs changed. Eventually though the MDF will wear out.

You could install t-nuts on top, and use bolts to hold the marquee retainer. That way you can remove the retainer over and over with no problem. Remove the retainer, then slide out the marquee and there you go, access to the insides.

How often would one need to access the light? The T-nut idea is a good one for the life of the machine.
