Title: Control Panel Questions
Post by: bravesfan on July 24, 2005, 08:56:02 pm
I'm in the planning process of building a 4 player cab and I have a few questions.....

1.  From reading these forums, it seems as if 8 way sicks are best for the four players with one 4 way stick at the top to use on older games (Pac Man, Frogger).  How would this 4way stick be hooked up?   Would it be spliced into the player one controls?

2.   Is it true that only 4 buttons are needed for players 3&4 if only running mame?

3.  Are there any templates available for 4 player control panels?  I have the book, but couldn't find any on the CD

THanks

1. Yep. If you use terminal blocks you can change/add controls at a later stage as well.

2. At the moment, yes. But if you can, add buttons 5+6. They're handy for console emulators.

Have fun!

Hey Dexter,

I had no idea people were actually using the templates I put up!  Very cool!  :D  Any suggestions or additions to the templates?

Cheers,
Tom

Nope, its pretty much spot on. I saw the page when I was considering a 4 player panel. Probably sticking to a two player now mind!

Good work by the way....
