ok, my brother was messing around with my marvel super heroes arcade and its not working anymore. he thought it was a blown fuse, so he replaced all the fuses with new ones. they are the right kind. When I plug in the arcade, the cps2 game box starts running but the monitor comes on with green horizonal lines and there is no sound. I looked for about half an hour looking for a bad wire but none. What SHOULD I look for??? or what kind of problem does this sound like? I checked the game in another cabinet and it is working properly. is this a bad wire?? any help is great. thank you!

The only thing i can think of from the limited info you gave is maybe a wire or two came out of the jamma connector and is not in contact with the board anymore.
Also, maybe the 2 boards that the CPS2 games have (A/B boards ) may not be seated properly.

Does it play blind? That means when you drop a quarter you can hear it playing, but with either no or garbled video.
-
there is no sound, so I cant tell if it is playing blind or not, the game works, I tested it in another cabinet and it worked fine.

OK the way you described it, the game was working, then your brother messed around with it and now it doesn't work.
Is this correct?
If so, then the first thing to do obviously is ask your brother what he touched.
-
he said that he messed around with the horizonal and vertical setting on the monitor turning the knobs. that is when it stoped working.
-
Seems easy enough. Mess around with the knobs till it's fixed.

Clean/ Make Sure the pins on the motherboard are straight, I hav had numerous problems with the pins being bent!

i tested the game in another cabinet already, it works fine. the pins on the jamma connector? they are fine. everything is running, the game runs, the monitor runs, they just are not connecting to display the game or sound! I will give some $5 paypal who can figure it what it would be.

Ask your bro if he heard a "pop" or smelled burning? I'm wondering if he accidently touching any circuitry.
Look at all wires that are attached to the monitor circuit boards. Don't touch anything, but look for loose wires.
And that big huge wire that goes to the suction cup...? THat's the dangerous one with really high voltage even with the power off. Beware of that!

the pins on the jamma connector?
No, the sets of pins between the mother board and software board.
