Title: Coinopwarehouse Still TONS of Stuff
Post by: toolaa on July 23, 2005, 11:32:29 pm
To whom it may concern.  I stopped by Coinopwarehouse today to pick up another cab and got a Super Sprint in great shape.  Lloyd actually had some new stuff which was not there two weeks ago.

There are at least:

20 Pac-Man uprights
10 pole position uprights

Some things that were really interesting.

Baby Pac-Man Video/Pinball Combo (This would be one tough restoration however)
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=B&game_id=6987

3 upright Space Encounters (This game has an awesome yoke control!)
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=S&game_id=9649

Space Tactics (Sit down with x-y moving monitor)
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=S&game_id=9683

There was this awesome game where the monitor was on a tilting ans swiveling stand with two top fire joysticks.  I have no idea what it was but it was a really unique cabinet.

He still has three turbo cockpit machines left

There are at least 400 other cabinets still there and he says they all have to be out in 3 weeks!

what is he willing to sell them for?

The cabinets in non-working order are all going for $65.  He'll probally want $150 for any game which has a working monitor in good shape or a cabinet in very good condition.  He has a Pole Position Cocktpit for $150 several working NEO Geo cabs for $100.

Man, I wish I had a way to get there from NJ.  It's not that far a ride really, but my car won't even make the trip (piece of crap :( ) and even if it did.. it wouldn't hold cabs :(

I'd love a PacMan and a NeoGeo....

Pointdablame,

There's a full size van for sale in the other thread.
If you buy it, maybe he'd stop along the way, and pick up the cabs for you.

but if I had $1k to spend, I could easily find a NeoGeo and a Pacman.  After all, I AM in New Jersey... it isn't exactly hard to find machines heh... just hard to find them at $65 :)

I was looking at the "two birds with one stone" aspect of it all though.

This way you'd have the cabs you want, AND a way to go get more.

Lloyd is a great guy, but I really wish that he could have kept his warehouse clean. My allergies don't go well with the inch think layer of dust on everything not in the show room. I would love to rent a truck and pick up a half dozen games or so...

It's funny you mention that because a few weeks ago when I was there I guy was walking around with one of those cheap white contractor masks on.

Wait, where is the warehouse? Its close to NJ?

It depends on what you call "close."  It's about 4 hours from me (union county), so its certainly a ride, but if I had a big truck I'd make the trip to get some cabs.

If someone from NJ goes there, get me a Pac   I will love you forever.

That's the one, the cab in the shop had no artwork anywhere on it so I could not tell what it was.

I was just imagining playing Starwars, empire strikes back or how about tailgunner or liberator.  This cab is in awesome mechanical shape.

I know this is far fetched...but I live about 1 hour east of Lloyd. I also have access to a full size stake body truck (could hold up to 8 uprights). If anyone would like to pay for my gas and driving time (driving time = (1) cab from Lloyd), I would be more than happy to help fellow BYOAC'ers that are say within a 200 mile area of me.

My zip is 21222 if that helps.

Matt,

Hey I thought I saw in another post you were parting out of a bunch of stuff.  Now it seems you'll be sucked into a whole new batch of stuff.

I'd like to see how this plays out.

Ok folks. I am making a trip to the warehouse then to NJ (08021). If anyone is near that zipcode and was looking for a cabinet from Lloyd. Please pm me ASAP. Thanks

Matt

I'm an hour and a half North of 08021 though, it's probably not worth the drive for just me.

I've been kicking myself back and forth about making a trip down there, but it's unlikely.  So, I do have a unique request for anyone who does get down there.

In one of the pictures, I can make out several late 70s - early 80s Rock Ola jukeboxes.  Right now, I'm working on restoring a Rock Ola 469 (1977), but I don't have the correct body artwork.  See picture here:

http://jukebox-guide.com/Rock-Ola/Pictures/469.gif

See that large piece of artwork above the speaker grill on the base of the unit?  I need that.  I have the top/marquee art piece, only need the bottom (larger) piece.  If anyone has a chance to check out the jukeboxes and happens to find a 469 (clearly marked on the top display), then please please please pull out that artwork (if it's there and in decent shape).

I only want the art from the 469 - I actually have art from the 463 model in there right now, so I don't need just any replacement.  469 only (which could be impossible - very few, relatively, were made).

If you're heading down there soon and think you could check this out for me, then PM me and we'll talk any details and payment.  Thanks mucho.

If you only need that one part, Lloyd has been known to pull parts for people and sell them via mail...

Well like I said. I will have a truck big enough so if anyone wants anything...speak now. I can pick up whatever anyone wants.

Pointdablame...1 1/2hrs to 08021 isn't bad at all if you wanted to meet me there. It would almost be like an east coast gathering... :)

Club...call Lloyd and see if he has what you are looking for. If so then I will pick it up and ship it or deliver it.

Matt

Club...I just talk to Lloyd. He does not have the art piece. Call a guy named Jimmy Thorpe (252-446-9117). He has the part and can shipp to you. Hope this helps.

UPDATE...I called him myself while I was typing and he is checking for me. Should have an answer today or tomorrow.

I called Lloyd on Sunday looking to help relieve him of some parts.  He asked that I email him the request list, and I did.  I haven't heard back from him as of yet.

If anybody is going there I would gladly pay for your time and trouble for pulling the Pac-Man parts I'm looking for.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio, and am in deep discussion with my wife as to whether this trip will be taken.  I don't have a truck, but I could probably get a u-haul trailer and hitch.

I've emailed Lloyd asking about a few things, but haven't gotten a reply as yet.  He's probably really busy.

I'd prefer a working one, or at least, a working monitor.

The swivelling game is Danger Zone by Cinematronics:

It's neat due to the control method, but the game is not all that fun. It would have been interesting if they made an "Operation Wolf" style game or a 3D shooting game with this kind of control.

How about Beach Head 2002:

Doesn't look like it in the picture, but I saw one 'in the flesh' and it has a monitor on the hanging down control module thingy :)
(point of interest... I was there just after a power failure & saw it rebooting... this thing runs on Windows!)

just went to Lloyd's yesterday (8.2.05) - picked up a great condition super off road and 3 marquees for $50.00. He still has quite a few videos, jukes, and slots but all are in need of some work. also, he works better on deals face to face than on phone.

hmmm...i would say 230 vids, 30 pins, 10 slots, 3 shuffle bowling, 40 jukes, 30 montiors, 40 boards, and a hand full of marquees. but again all items needed some sort of work. i got lucky on the offroad...all i have to do is replace the wood behind the pedals. it is all going quick too. there was a guy there picking up over 70 machines...just pointing and loading on the truck.

Heh, Lloyd is a nice enough guy in person (hell, he let me take a board home to test it before paying and without even asking my name), but I think that sometimes he forgets that he is trying to run a business when you talk to him on the phone or through email.
