The same model ATMs are installed in all sorts of different locations, so they simply all have the braille as it is cheaper than ommitting it.
Of course even WITH the braille I have no idea how a blind person could use the ATM without being able to read the screen.

theres normally a head phone jack for them to plug in. hey, i wonder? i might have a closer look at that sign on my way home. maybe theres a headphone jack on it ;D
-
Our local hospital used to have a sign outside: "Guard dogs operating" :D
-
And as far as that sign goes, the only thing I can imagine is that it is there for the benefit of the blind person's companions, for them to point out the place for them.
Of course that is about useless, isn't it.
Although I have never actually seen a blind person walking on the street anyway.

Oh Paige, I thought higher of you...
The sign is alerting sighted people that blind people cross there. ie: Slow the f*** down, blind people in the area!

I think my all time favorite is still the Free Cat (http://www.gimpcity.com/severe/free-cat.htm)
I know. It is sick and don't get me wrong. I love cats. I have 1 now. It is in better shape than the one in the picture but I still think it is funny.

This road sign below is my second favorite. My all-time favorite road sign.....Stingray, I'll be e-mailing it to you.....it's not "family friendly" enough for here ;D
-
AAAAAAAGHHHH!
Stingray, you'll have to wait....it's not opening up for me, and it's now a 0 byte file :'(
-
Jeeze Drew, you made me go check my email and everything. What a crushing dissapointment that turned out to be. not to worry, I put a reminder to check again later in my Irish Palm Pilot.

I wonder why you didn't throw a double-winky or cop smiley in there, Homer

i dont have a photo of it, but a welsh girl once told me that where she lived, the main gay area centered around Canal Street. Of course some joker had taken off the 'C' and the 'S' ;D
