Title: WTB: any kind of monitor
Post by: USSEnterprise on July 20, 2005, 08:06:28 pm
I just need some kind of monitor to use for my first mame cabinet. I have a 20" CRT that I was going to use, but its way too heavy to mount. I'm looking for a newer 19-20" CRT, LCD, or a Wells Gardner 19-20" that has mounting hadware

Location?

It costs more to ship most monitors than they are worth.

If you are local to St. Louis than I have a couple of semi-decased 21" computer monitors that I would let go for cheap.

Well, I am going to try some of the suggestions first that I was given. I don't know anything about arcade monitors, other than everyone seems to think Wells Gardner is best.

Wells Gardner is probably the biggest current manufacturer of new monitors, but there have been many other popular monitors - the Electrohome G07 being one of them.

Are you willing to shell out the money for a new monitor, or do you plan on buying one used?

used is really my only option, but I'm gonna wait awhile and see if I can manage to get my current one mounted. God help me!
