so yeah, i decided i need money so im going to AC tonight. spare the lectures about losing lol, i dont lose, and if i ever did (which i wont) it would suck and that would be life but anyway. yeah so i decided im gonna play a fatty hand when i first sit down, im thinking 200$ is a good slap down. i wont be totally ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- if i lose it but if i win thats awesome. i have basicly 450$, i could slap down a nice 400 and if i win im like done for the night and ill give myself 20$ for nickel slots, heh. but that would suck cause i kinda need that money for tickets in a month. so vote it up

Why limit yourself, you could get a loan for all the money you make in a year, bet it all and when you win you pay back the loan and you wont have to work the rest for 6 months.
-
dude... i should do that

That's amazing. Share your "system" with the world. ;)

well basicly, it all starts with how cool you are, this is directly proportionate to the "coolness aura" you put off. Mine is at a very high level from building it up so long it extends far enough to cover the dealers deck of cards. which in turn sensing how cool i am, always give me 11's on my first hand so i can double down and destroy everyone!!! muhhhahaha
-
I'd start with the minimum on a fresh shuffle. Follow the basic strategy and double your bet after you win, and go back to the minimum when you lose. If you can pay attention to the cards dealt, you may have a good idea how "10 heavy" the shoe is - bet accordingly.
Then again, the best system is to never gamble to make money - only use what you can stand to lose. I learned that the hard way.
-
yeah thats basicly what i did last time i went and i ended up winning 200$ after playing for a while, who knows prolly 2 hours time flys in that place. i figure this way, it takes me like 1 minute to win/lose 200$, lets cut the BS =p
if i win the first 200$ hand, ill set aside 100$ and play normal minimum bets and whatnot so even if i lose that im still up 100

"I saw what the governor makes. That's like four hands of blackjack."

lmao, thats a great quote

Oh, I thought you weren't cool. Had I known you were cool, then I would have understood the cool comment.
Unless, I was right, and you aren't cool, you just think you're cool. That's cool.

I think we found Carlito.

Blackjack is one of those games where it's too 50/50 even when playing "properly" (ie: by the book). Even the greatest hand can then be spoiled with a rotten card, unless you get a BJ right away.
Spend it in dollar slots. At least you get pretty sounds and lights...
-
if you need money, then save your $450, and go get a part time job over the wkend...
then you'll get a little more $$...
if you have decided that you will go to AC and bet, then I would say, put it all in 1 bet, and bet it, then go.
The longer you stay, the more games you play, the more the probability factor kicks in... (which means Casino will win...)
if you play 1 game, then its more luck.
Good luck.
ps: I don't go casino often at all... and 9 out of 10 times, I lose... so, take my advise at your own risk....
-
What happens if you bet big on the first hand and lose? Are you gonna quit? Or are you gonna put yourself in the whole bigger while trying to win it back?
To start out at a $200 deficit is not exactly fun.

Possibly, but if he's doing what I think he's doing, then likely he'll make more money with the blackjack.
Some people are just naturally good at the game. There are the laws of averages working in your favor, and if you just inherently know them, you can win big.
Just remember to lose once in a while, so it doesn't look bad!

well.... when I go casino (AC / Vegas)....
I'm not going there to "work"... I go for pleasure...
(ok..... losing is not exactly pleasure...)
but I'm not like "working"... I think you know what I mean...
I know the basics of black jack, card counting, and when to hit when not to hit... and loosely follow them.... but its not the bible....
basically, I am prepared that I can lose a certain amount... (maybe a couple hundred and I won't feel bad...) and I sit and play... and I drag the time, and play.... and have fun with my friends.....
since casino games ALWAYS has > 50% chance of house winning, the longer time you play, the more chance they win....
(that's why when you win BIG, basically, they will offer you EVERYTHING for you to keep staying... hotel suite, food, limo to take your family in for the wk / wkend... shopping /spa for your wife, you name it, they give it as long as you keep staying and playing....
so far, with my very limited knowledge, I only know 1 person who on average wins the casino.... (and yes, you can say that guy is lucky / skillful.... whatever...) ALL the others... simply go there and help pay their bills.... :)
so, if you just want to try your luck...
then my personal opinion is... walk around, get a "feel" of yourself...
and when you feel right, sit down and play 1 game. Then done.
(that's luck....)
---------------
of course, if you have some "formula" that you think it'll work...
feel free to try it out...
but think about it... Casino is soooo freaking luxury, and soooo much $$ involved... it'll be hard for someone just 1 day think of a formula that will win them everytime.... (whether you know it or not... I'm pretty sure they have counter measures for all your formulas...)
well.... if you're a pro... like I saw in tv... there are slot machine teams monitoring those progressive jackpots... or card counting teams hitting the black jack tables... then sure, the playing field is more level (or you may actually have advantage...)
but for a normal person like most of us, even with above normal math skills and some formulas and tips... is no match to a casino....
again, good luck to all.... WIN BIG !!!
;) ;D

After the hot-tub incident the other night, bet as much as you can. I'm telling you, you're gonna LOVE it when you finally get around to having someone to share your hot tub sex with. For that, I'm betting you'll need a ton of money, so start jacking up the pots there. Go big or go home. If you wanna run with the big dogs, you're gonna have to get your ass up off the porch.

When I go to AC/Vegas, I usually folow this principle of betting:
1. Start with $10 hand.
2. Win!
3. Doubel up the bet. $20,
4. Win!
5. Put $10 from the winnings on the bet. Pocket the other $10. Now betting $30/hand, and you're even.
Wash, rinse, repeat until you're betting around $50/hand. Law of averages says that if you hit $50 before losing, you have a horseshoe wedged up your butt that day. Basically, if worse comes to worse, you win twice and you're back where you began.
I've profited near $1000 in around 5 hours doing this, and I've also gone back and lost due to terrible luck. The odds are just as great that you'll lose, so always bet with your head.
Or, to paraphrase:
Step 1. Bet $400
Step 2. ???
Step 3. PROFIT!

Does anyone monitor the "sway" of the deck? Low cards = "-1", high cards = "+1", mid cards = "0"?
The idea is to bet heavy when the sway is in your favor.
If dealer shows a five and the sway is -8, then most likely high cards will come up... so if you have a total of lets say nine... you double down hoping a run of face cards come up. (I saw this method on TV last night)
