Hello,
I have a cabinet that has been done for a few years now, and I am looking to enhance it. I really want to add artwork and plexiglass to the CP. Currently it is 3/4 MDF which is laminated. I have T-Molding around the edges of the panel. My quesion is, if I were to add artwork on top of this, and then a layer of plexiglass, 1. Would this "feel" right with the edge being just above the T molding (it "seems" to be level now) and 2. How do you drill the holes in the plexiglass? Thanks in advance!

I did the same thing just recently. And I used lexan too - well that's what the shop made for me. Let's just say my CP is heavy now!
I made a digital template of my CP (the old fashioned way - I measured it then drew it on my PC!) then I had to get that printed several times until it matched up correctly. Then I could use that to get the lexan and the CP artwork done. And I don't think it looks bad at all!
I've noticed several games in my local arcade that have the lexan/plexi whatever above of the t-molding. Just smooth down the edges and I don't think people will complain.

You could just replace that t-molding with some 7/8" to make up the difference.

Didn't know they made such a thing. That would be probably the best idea for me. Now to find someone to lay the graphics out for me! (i am graphically challenged!)

that would work too...unless you already had the slot cut in your CP like I did... although I spose you could use the larger t-molding and just trim off the bottom! haha
my sis is a graphic design major so she did all my cab artwork! she did mine free but i can ask her what she'd charge to do yours if you're interested...otherwise find a good artsy friend :)
