Title: For Sale Acadevga-unused
Post by: menace on July 19, 2005, 10:58:33 am
I bought a lot awhile ago but haven't done much mame stuff for awhile--figured I'd better clear out some inventory.  Anyways its the ATI 92SE 128 version of the card--comes with driver disk.  give me 80$US ($100 CDN) and actual shipping costs and its yours.   Ships from canada so figure 5 bux or so to most places.  I accept Paypal--First to PM takes it.

*gratuitous bump*  it's still available, although why anyone wouldn't want to save 20$ on a brand new card is tough to say...

the vga cable that comes with it from ultimarc is included in there too--should have mentioned that I guess

Hmmm... Should I? Or should I mess around with resolution settings and stuff with one of my standard cards? ...

the only thing drawing me back is that if there is something wrong with it now/later, would Andy replace it or I am screwed. Saving $20.00 is good but for $20.00, I'll take a new one from Andy just b-cause if something is BAD, I can get a replacement for FREE.
Now if its half price, maybe its woth the gamble.  ;D but then again, ppl might think that its BAD cause its to cheap  :P.
don't mind me, just finish doing yard work and my Allergy is killing me at this point..  :'(

then you got to ask yourself how often does andy ship dead videocards.  then you can decide whether saving 20$ is worth it.  Like I said--it's never been plugged in--if its bad, it came from Andy that way (I'll let you figure the odds on that one)...

I seem to remember reading a few posts about people buying second hand Ultimarc stuff, and Andy helped them out.  He seems really dedicated to helping as much as he can.

If I didn't already HAVE to order some things from Ultimarc, I'd buy this from you.  Since I'm paying the shipping anyway, it's only a $9 difference.  I don't suppose you have a Jpac/Ipac and an Optipac for sale too??  :P

I would buy that of you as your from Canada as well...  but I'm a tad broke right now as I sank too much $$ in another arcade project.

I'm sure you'll sell it shortly anyway, but if I come across some extra cash, I'll send you a pm.

He's currently sending me a replacement chip for an A-Pac I bought secondhand here on the forums (existing chip didn't go bad, just has wrong code)...  He really seems to stand behind his products, even if you're not the original owner.

I was going to say.  Andy helped me with a board that I plugged in the +5 power to ground and the ground to +5 (trying to get power from the mouse adapter on a keyboard + mouse split cable... and confused myself :(

Andy is great.  I wouldn't worry if he will give you support.  He also has a few people who resell his products.  So he expects to have customers he doesn't know.

Its not like software where you might guess that an unknown might have a hacked version... If you have the hardware... he created it and someone else resold it :)
