Got my Opti-Pac board in finally...it's been sitting in customs for a week!
Anyway, the cable that it came with appears to be a ps/2 to usb. I am assuming(never have seen the proper cable) that it should be a serial to usb cable instead of the one I have.
If this is true, does anyone know if they make a converter from ps/2 to serial?

You could contact Andy and get the right cable.
Are you trying to hook it up to PS/2 or USB?
If the latter, I think you want a Serial to USB converter and I think they make one.

I'm going to hook it to my usb. Looks like the cable he sent me was the usb cable for the i-pac. I looked online and found a female ps/2 to male serial adapter. Surely the local Frys will have one.
It'll be alot quicker if I drive to the store than have a package spend another week in New York customs before shipping down here in Texas!

Understood.
What I am suggesting is instead of getting a serial to PS/2 adapter that you can then plug in to the incorrect PS/2 to USB cable that you received, why don't you leave out the PS/2 cable and look for a serial to USB cable, which is what you should have gotten anyway.

I was thinking of cost-wise...but looks like it's only about 5 dollars difference.
Thanks for your input. I was stumped when I first open the package looking where to plug it into...and the board isn't that big!
Looks like I can just not buy 2 gallons of gas this week ;-)
*edit* looks like it's actually 15 dollars more for the cable than the adaptor...
