Hello!!
I am currently on my 3rd revision to my control panel and feel that I am really close to what I want (for now). I am wondering about suggestions or opinions that way I can make sure that I haven't missed anything blatently obvious. THANKS for your time and suggestions.

very nice design. i see what your trying to do and it works out pretty good, your gonna get some crap for all the admin buttons but i happen to like alot of them..
the only thing i would suggest is maybe angling the cp top where player 3 and player 4 will stand. it seams that the corner is really going to make it uncomfortable for them. the angle may ruin the overall look you are going for. here is a little picture to show what i mean..
nice job though

It's a personnel preference, but what what I've learned on this board, to be "arcade authentic" the player 3 and 4 joysticks should be squared up and face the monitor like Players 1 and 2. All of the original 4 player arcade games were like this. But, as stated, personnel preference.
I like the pinball button location design.

Hmmm....All the Gauntlet games had the side players cocked at an angle...

the control panel was angled, but the sticks were mounted so towards the screen was up....

If I fully understand your drawwings, I'd move the two buttons on the angled portion of the sides around to the straight portion of the side. Using them for pin-ball simulators at that angle would be murder on your wrists.

I thought about making the 3 and 4 player joysticks go towards the screen (Up), but at the angle that the rest of the controls are and how the players should be standing it seems to me that it would be uncomfortable.

I can't believe that the discussion of angled vs not-angled joysticks isn't part of some faq on this site.
For those who haven't yet experienced the debate that ensues when somebody suggests putting their joysticks at an angle, this is how it goes:
A: No machines had joysticks with 'up' at an angle.

I only have a 2 player CP (although I'm sure there are people out there who would argue that even 2-player CP could use angled joysticks) so I've never dealt with the issue personally.
