Title: FS/FT: Wico Trackball for parts
Post by: USSEnterprise on July 18, 2005, 06:20:04 pm
I got this as part of an eBay auction. It does not have the ball. On the inside, the electronics look fine. The Rollers have some rust, but still spin. I believe it is from an old Atari Crystal Castles. Will consider trades for red buttons, joysticks, or keyboard encoder.

Yeesh...hate to say it, but it's not worth a whole lot.  The rollers have a ton of wear (and rusty too!), there's no ball.  It'd be good as a parts unit, perhaps.

Actually, now that I think about it, as long as the optics work, you can get a rebuild kit for cheap.  This is assuming, of course, that the case isn't cracked.  Toss in a ball, and off you go.

Yeah, I didn't think I'd get many responses. The optical boards and wires look fine, and the case is solid. I was just thinking since Happ and Betson Imperial trackballs are so expensive, someone might perfer to refurbish this one for a lower price.
