Toying with changing the name/art of my machine to ARCADE MANIA, a name I used for another cabinet I built recently. I'm growing bored with the background image and having Mame all over the place.
Anyway I'm taking opinions as I was fooling around with a background image from the arcade art library and I think it works well...

I really like the Atomic logo on the sides. You know I like the original art, so I would keep it.

I found this website the other day that has tons of tutorials for creating stuff in photoshop, as well as other programs.
Check it out, I did a few sigs the other day and surprised the hell out of my self.

Franco are you doing another cabinet with that image or just revamping your present one? I never heard back from you on that marquee but if you want I'll still give you a hand.

Im sure I messaged back to you about the marquee? Maybe not, I do apologuise if I didnt.
Im just making a new CP for my cab at the moment and I was going to stick with the original artwork. It looks like I may be buying a new car in the next week or so, so I think the budget fot my new CP is gonna have to be delayed for a while. I may take this opertunity to have a look at photoshop and try to create/modify something myself. Thanks for the link BTW AllisterFiend! :)

can someone please tell the standard size of a marquee in pixels.

I never got anything back from you Franco. If you want that marquee or help with your CPO just let me know.
Any more opinions?? The more I look at this new artwork the more I want to change it...

My only sugesstion is to use a different background. Isn't that the same graphic that is used by Dream Arcades for their new uprights? Its nice looking, but bordering on the 'overused' status.
Your cabs are deserving of custom artwork, and I know you have the skills to put it together.

Thanks I don't really know where to start when it comes to making backgrounds though. If I did make one I think it'd be something close to this anyway.
Don't know if Dreamarcades is using that background but it wouldn't bother me. I'd be changing it to re-kindle my 'forbidden love' for this machine, not to get kudos from everyone...although that's always nice. :)

Dude, you do realize this post is 11 years old right? You'd have to be a lucky SOB for anyone to even know what or where that artwork could be. The odds of anyone having that art who is currently still a member here is astronomically against you.

Dude, say it isnt so. :'( I have built 5 cabs and working on 6 and when someone says (and a million have) what are you building, I say go google Knievel neon over there on that laptop. Im building something kind of like that.
