Post by: javeryh on July 18, 2005, 01:54:04 pm
... I'm putting the 19" SVGA Horizontal Mount Monitor from Happs in my cocktail cabinet (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/491337vp.htm)?  I don't think so but I want to be sure.  Thanks!

AVGA are not for SVGA/VGA COMPUTER Monitors. AVGA are for ARCADE MONITORS (15khz).

Thanks.  So the monitor I'm ordering plugs directly into the tower like any other computer monitor, right?

You got it man.

I have had several different VGA res arcade monitors, they hook up just like a computer monitor.

When selecting your monitor in windows select 640x480@60hz

Surely 17" is a tad small for an arcade cab?

Does a normal TV (15 kHz - PAL Spec with RGB SCART and NTSC support) handle all the resolutions that a arcade monitor would support like a Betson or Wells-Gardner?
