Post by: Kevykev on July 18, 2005, 01:51:52 pm
Hello Everyone - I turned on my Star Wars Arcade and heard some "sparking" from inside the unit then a tell tale burning smell.

Sounds like you lost your HV transformer.

Thank for the prompt reply!  Should I look for that part or is it easier to locate that whole board? Or If i find a replacement monitor - do all those HV boards come with it?

The original flyback transformer is no longer available. You need to buy the arcadeshop.com "Replacement high voltage circuit board assembly". It's a plug and play unit, but you need to reuse the metal cage/frame that mounts the board.

Thanks again for the info - just my luck, they are sold out.  Any idea who else might sell these units?
