Title: What's the Difference Between Ultimate and Horiz Push Buttons?
Post by: djll on December 22, 2002, 04:03:56 am
I'm picking up some push buttons and can't tell the difference.  The Ultimate's are on sale.  What's the difference and which are reccomended?

If I remember correctly, the ultimates are vertical PBs, which tend to be unresponsive as they wear.  Read about this design flaw here. (http://www.arcadecontrols.com/arcade_controls.shtml#buttons)  For this reason, horizontal PBs are the button of choice for most BYOACers.

Also, I believe that competition PBs use the horizontal design, but have a rounded top and are less popular than the standard horizontals.
