Title: So i saw an UltraCade in person

That one to be exact..

And let me tell you, PEICE OF SH_T.

It felt beyond cheap, the buttons (not push buttons but the stuff like "exit game") were cheap feeling, and poorly printed.. the CP overlay felt like it was printed on a home inkjet printer and it wont last to long honestly..

Overall? For sure not going to last in the real arcade that its in..

I was flying on a Delta connection, and in the seat pocket in front of me was their "Sky" magazine. All it is really is a catalog of crap people can look through if they're really bored. Anyway, inside it was an ad for an Ultracade machine. The cocktail was going for $3,000. I almost died. When I get back home, I'll scan the image out of the magazine and post it here.....

There is an Ultracade at wunderland in portland, OR too. I do admit I played it once but it was the biggest waste of $.15 ever!

They do really suck - I played one at a Jillians restaurant\bar near my work, and the front end stole one of my credits! The one I played on was a showcase cab, and the control panel also felt a bit on the cheap side.

Foley - I know you read this board, you owe me a quarter!!!

They had one in the student center where I went to college, and I saw a few at a local operator's shop back home. I never played, though. I wasn't about to pay 50 cents for old school Street Fighter 2. I never saw anyone else playing it, either. They were always on MvsC 2 and MvsC 3.

There is an ultracade at the Dave and Busters in Schaumburg Il.  It is the showcase model.
The joysticks had to Happ Ultimates because there here horrible and the CPO wobbled during a frantic Robotron (that ran too fast).

Robotron (that ran too fast).

Funny that it would have the same bug that mame had.

Well, you know he didn't steal any code - after all, it's trademarked!

I saw an upright at Salem Willows in Salem, MA.  It actually looked pretty good.

No, I didn't play it, I dropped my quarters into the nice Sea Wolf next to it.

I would love to see someone play Marvel Vs Capcom 3, since it doesn't exist :)

I've seen a couple of the machines.  The one thing about them I absolutely could not stomach was the front end.  (Actually, one of the machines I've played has a much uglier front-end than the other.  The super-ugly version is the one with the pseudo-anime girl caricatures - when you jump around in the game list you don't really get any information about the game, you get (IIRC) a tiny screenshot and a giant crappy picture of a deformed "Bratz" reject who has no relation to the game.  Talk about tacky...

Say what you want, but If she were real and 18, you'd both do her.

I'd prefer she was 21, but yeah... However, leave the weirdo ex-boyfriend out!!  (guy in the mirror)

I just played that same machine. What a horrendous pile of garbage.

I played an Ultracade in a Dave & Busters in Ontario, CA when I was away on business.  It was the first time I have ever seen an unit before.  Fired up "Mat Mania" and played for bit... I think I was the only one that played it during my 3hr visit.
