Yes, I'm asking. Yes, it's been talked about. No, I can't figure out what the heck the real answer is. I've read about splicing and cutting. I've read that there's soldering involved.
I have a Mame cab w/Radeon 9200. I know for a fact that it is using S-Video to output to my TV.
1st, will a GunCon2 compatible gun work with Mame given the downloadable drivers are installed and the gun is recognized by Windows XP Pro w/SP2.
2nd, are there any modifications that need to be made either to the gun or the way it connects? If it connects with composite video how the heck am I going to achieve that? --> if I have a composite video out on the video card can I connect the gun to that and still have the regular output going to through the S-Video port?
Is there a downside to using these guns vs. the Act Labs guns? Thanks in advance.

I tried to get an FAQ started here, but nobody with any answers (or additional questions) seemed interested.

I don't know anything about these guns.

dot... did the 9200 have or allow a separate purchase of a dongle/adapter that allows composite INPUT as well as out? I know my ATI All-In-Wonder 9200 had the ability for input and output... infact that is how my systems are all hooked up... through the input on the Vid card. that might work....
QB.... PSX is the old school playstation. the gray bulky one prior to the little white one (later dubbed PSOne). GunCon is the standard playstation gun.

All the questions are answered in the mega thread.
To make it easier I put the nessessary links on the first post. The first post answers both questions now :)

And I will add to stickie thread :)
PSX uses controller port which makes me wonder if it will work with a usb adaptor...
PS2 uses USB port and an RCA video pass through, hence no modification needed for PC.
Just ask your questions on the other threads...
