$3000 for piece of crap!
-
Oh, I've seen worse sold for just as much. All things considered, it's pretty good. It just costs an arm and a leg.
-
Didnt someone here make that sideart? or remake it or something..
-
how is this the most rip off site ever again ?? That custom arcade guy sells similer setup for $4000+ and he IS making a living out of this..there is market and apprently people are buying them !
-
There's no accounting for stupid people with too much money. As long as he cand find such people, more power to him I guess. It's not like anyone here would ever buy one.

Does this mean I should cancel my order through them?

I don't see how it is a rip off.
They give you a brand new Dell which would probably run you $450 or more, a 27" monitor that costs at least $450, trackball is $90, $30 in joysticks $60 interface board, at least $40 in buttons, $90 coindoor, $40 speaker set, $60 spinner, $30 in t-molding and the side art will cost $500 to have printed up. That comes to $1840. And you haven't put anything together (your time to assemble costs money) or bought wood for a cabinet or bought incidental hardware items like drawer slides, feet, knobs, wire, screws, bolts, wheels and handles.
You can't compare their cabinet with most others because it is arcade quality and assembled. It's no cheap kit that you put together with a silly allen wrench and prop your monitor in it. Their cabs are the real deal. I've built cabinets for my route customers and this is a better deal than me building anything. I buy all my cabs from these guys and get most of my stuff wired up by them too.
I'll even let you in a secret, My cost for a Ms Pac Galaga box from NAMCO is $2900. Now that is a ripoff.
No, these boys are good guys and have always done me right.
Don't talk badly of them if you've never delt with them.
nuff said.

I agree with all of the above pricing except $500 for sideart. Even Kinko's charges less than that. Even still, it looks like a sturdy machine.

=Shrug=
I have a printer down the street I use and the price for two laminated stickers 4'x7' full color is $495. But Mamemarquees sells stickers that are up to 35"x 59" (which isn't big enough) for $149. So I'm willing to concede $200 for the stickers (Though the sqft price makes it go up way more than $50).
Still, I'll call kinkos just for kicks. I think they will not disappoint me. :-)

i've aleardy dropped a huge amount of $ on my machine, which is not done yet. Plus I put the labour in. I would build at a price of no less than $30/per hour. I don't think its that bad of a deal. Hell, if it was not my hobby and I had no clue how to build one, i'd pay.

Kinko's quoted $291.66 for one laminated full color sticker 40"x72". $583.32 plus tax for the pair. I think he said their rate is $14 and change per square foot.
I must remember to thank my sign guy for his low prices. Anyone want something printed up cheap? :-)
