Long shot here!
Just wanted to see if anyone near my area has a Empty
PAC-MAN or MS. PAC-MAN cabinet they don't want?
Decent shape of course?
-
I could help you out if you were in TX.
-
Thanks,
I wish you could help me out too. ;)
-
Most common cabinet style in the world, you shouldn't HAVE to look for very long.
-
Thanks, But still looking.
Nobody is exactly beating my door down to get rid of one.
Not around in my area anyway.
I know where 3 are in my area.
And i can't even buy them away from the people.
-
Just expanded my search area.
Thanks! :)

Isn't there one in August as well (weird ... I was looking at that site early tonight) ?
Cheers.

Thanks!
I will keep that in mind.
I was wondering where/when those Auctions were?
Do they have empty/busted PAC cabs at these auctions?
How much do they usually go for?
-
I havn't been to one yet myself so I'm not sure of the prices, availability and such........
You may want to ask knuttz
here's a thread to find him easier:

I actually bought a stripped Pac-man that was painted over at the W-S auction a few months back. It was $65. It didn't have the game, monitor, or marquee but what was left of it was in fairly good shape (cabnet itself, controls, PS, coin door, bezel). I was told this was a good deal. I've seen completely restored Pacs and Ms. Pacs go for $800. These are sold in the morning on the "classic row" and the prices seem unreasonable to me. I would hold off until later in the day when the crowd thins out and auctioneers start selling the beat up, parted out, and converted cabnets. I would expect a mostly complete but not working pac-man to go for around $200-$250. You could do what I did and just look for the classic pac-man shape which has been converted/gutted. I guess those go for $65-$150. Also remember that Ms. Pac-man always goes for more than Pac-man. I would highly recommend you go to the auction if you want a pac cabinet. I can almost guarantee there will be at least 10 of these machines at Winston-Salem because, like Paige said, they are still very common. They do charge a 10% fee for people not "in the business" and I think they charge you if you use a charge card.
Hope this helps,
Matthew

Bucket,
Contact this guy in Wilmington...I stumbled onto his Ebay offers and contacted him...he met me at his 5 storage bays full of arcade cabs and parts...including about 6 Ms. Pacman cabs in various states of repair. He is trying to clear everything out, so I would contact him to see what you can get...he's been in the arcade repair scene since the late 70's so he is at least a wealth of knowledge and no doubt has plenty of contacts. Good luck
