seen some cracking artwork that people have vectorized. are there any tutorials on how to do this in photoshop?
-
most of us started using the Frostillicuss tutorial (http://www.localarcade.com/4images/details.php?image_id=223&mode=search")
the most difficult is to have an access to file in really Hi Resolution. after that tracing is not so difficult, just time consuming.

It's not done in Photoshop, which produces raster graphics. It's generally done in Illustrator or Freehand, there are other vector programs available, but those are the only two that come to mind at the moment.

Corel Draw, Visio, Jasc Photoshop and The Gimp also can all do vectors.
-
Inkscape and OpenOffice.org Draw as well.

so you have to draw an outline?? i was hoping there'd be some software that does it all for you

nop we have to trace it by hand.
never rely on some autotracing tools, they just produce crap :(
