If you're that worried about it I think carrying an emergency contact card, or wear dog tags instead of programming ICE into your phone.

If you're not functioning after an accident, your cell phone probably wont be either.

Since my parents are still alive, this one is pretty easy for me.  I've already got my parent's number programmed into my phone?  And get me!  The name I used for their contact name?  "Mom & Dad"

Once they pass away, I'll have to come back here and search for "that ICE thing I seem to remember hearing about a while back". 

Saint, you can't die or take this website down until my parents pass away, otherwise I'll NEVER be able to find this again! 

Oh, and for those of us with Vanilla's number, this should never be an issue anyway, as his number should be stored under "Ice Ice Baby", which will be listed AFTER "ICE", so no worries there.  Shape, change it back.  And put Hammer under "H", not "M" you goober!

Lost cell phones end up behind my counter at work all the time, about 90 percent of them already have a listing for "mom" or "dad".

The 10 percent that don't tend to be completely filled with listing that sound like gang nicknames.

I've already got listings under "Mom", "Dad" and "Home" in my cell phone. I've never considered those being used to contact someone in case of an emergency, but it seems reasonable to me. I guess I had better put similar listings in my wife's phone. I never have managed to teach her how to do it herself. :)
