Title: Keywiz Problems
Post by: testicle187 on July 11, 2005, 12:52:30 am
I use a Keywiz Max and I have some startup problems with it.  I need my computer (running Windows XP) to boot the Keywiz program and then load Mamewah on exit.  I have the shortcut made as C:\keywiz.exe -A  and that is working correctly, but if I also have Ultrastyle or Mamewah in my startup group it causes problems when they load together IE. the encoder doesnt get programmed  and Mamewah moves around a little and picks a game on it's own.

Is there some command line way to set my Keywiz Uploader software to run it's course and then start MameWah on bootup?  I jsut can't figure this out.

Open Notepad:

Type in:

C:\keywiz.exe -A
C:\MAMEwah.exe

(or whereever MAMEwah is).

Save as KeyWiz.bat.
Create a shortcut to KeyWiz.bat.
Place shortcut in Startup group and delete other shortcuts.

If this doesn't work, you could use a program like BatchRun to specify that MAMEwah shouldn't start until the KeyWiz software exits.

You are a god Tiger-Heli!  It loads up in the correct order and functions perfectly like that.

There are a few advantages to having used computers before Windows 3.1 (mainly that you appreciate what you don't have to do anymore.)

To make it more authentic, you should drop to dos and use the EDLIN command to create that batch file. :)

(I could type so much faster before Windows came about)
