howdy all
i'm gonna try and see if these guys sell here before posting them on ebay
i have an act-labs gs set still in box (all of the guns are still wrapped in plastic and such)
i tried to sell it on ebay but the deal went sour and now i have to resell them to pay the buyer back
i'm asking 79 for them plus shipping
again, this is the 2 gun set with holster
the street figther 2 cab is in good shape
it's a 25 inch cab with a gorgeous monitor
the coin door looks like it was crow barred open but it still works (and will just need some careful hammering into shape)
the sideart is good, a few scrapes here and there but nice considering not many street fighter 2 cabs have it
the overlay is the right one but it's missing the stickers that go over the buttons to tell you what each button does
i will include pictures in my next post
i am also willing to drop off to austin, houston, dfw or anywhere in between for basically cost of gas
make some offers
i'm moving soon and i need to get rid of it

Is this the USB version? If I recall correctly all of the 2 gun sets only worked with a joystick port and Windows 98????
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you willing to deliver the Street Fighter 2 machine to Corpus Christi?
-
PM sent
-
Might be interested in the SF2 when you get the pics up. How much are you asking?
-
Ditto.
-
i believe that to be correct on the guns only working with win98
i recall hearing SOMETHING about someone getting em to work in xp (i would assume that it was on this forum) but i could be wrong
i'd be willing to deliver to corpus christi if you're not too picky about when i do it (i would like to have a couple days off in a row)
pics will be posted within the hour

here are some pics
-
i'm askin 450 for it
i think that's pretty fair since that's what i paid for it (and i did a little touch up work on the paint and added an extra speaker)
the monitor is one of the best looking 25 inchers that i've ever seen
crystal clear with ZERO burn in and perfect colors
(no insert coin burn ins that most street fighters get)

If its the GS guns, beware they don't work with mame well. you can get it to kinda work with the beta mouse driver... but all in all they aren't worth a cent (let alone 80 bucks)
I have a set... and a usb version. The new ones ARE worth it (maybe not the ebay prices of 5 months ago) but the old ones aren't worth the shipping.

Hmmmm.... Hav I seen this anywhere else??? ::)

I hate to sound pessimistic about that Street Fighter machine fetching much. Still, it has a 25" monitor, and you're in a college town. Good luck with it.
-
yeah guys, sorry, i posted it today
i figured that no one here would want it for as much as i was asking
we'll see what i can get
i wouldn't ask for this much but i did buy it at auction for around 400 (i think it was a little less than that but then i had to pay all of the taxes and fees) and i'd hate to lose money on it
i've already got one watcher :)
here's hopin i can get this much for it

wishful thinking i know, that was a very clean cabinet

It's really hard to say what the average joe would pay for a machine sometimes. Good luck.

Someone in Bryan ended up with alot of stuff on ebay lately. Maybe that's the guy. He seemed halfway shady to me, though (whoever he was). He had the means to test everything he was selling yet he was selling it as untested... probably because he knew that it was probably broken.
-
Well it got bid on at $350. I wish I could get that much for a SF2 here in Dallas.
-
I would have definitely been there for that if I'd known it was going on. My dad lives there and I went to school there for a couple of years.
-
I went to school there in 98-99. They had machines downstairs with the bowling alley. I mostly played the KI2 and the SF3. I think they must have both been set on super easy, though. I beat them both the first time I played them.
-
i don't know if you guys have been there recently but i believe that they are down to 4 machines tops
last time i was there there was a gauntlet, ddr, galaga and maximum force
it really blows down there now
BUT
someone just announced that they are going to be building a huge 5.5 million dollar complex in bryan with 2 story laser tag, an arcade and a bowling alley (here's hoping that when they say "arcade" they don't mean "tons of ticket machines and a few novelty games")
it is scheduled to be opened next october
sadly, i'll still be here :(
college station isn't a bad spot for arcade collecting since you're an easy drive away from all of the major cities in texas ;)

Amen to that.

the winner of my auction backed out
i'll give you guys a shot if you want it for what he was offering (350) before i repost it on ebay
