when i try to update my email address it keeps saying the email address must be valid.
the one i'm changing it to IS valid. it's not like it's doing any kind of vlidity checking in the 100ms it takes for the page to refresh.
it's a standard email i'm changing it to... keith@xxxxx.com (left out my domain)
the email on record now is the INVALID one!
arrrrrrrrrrrg.
what's the deal with this?
thx

or PM me and I can do it too. Not heard of any reports like this. The software doesn't actually check the validity of the email, but does check syntax. Perhaps there is a control character creeping in there somehow?

Well, you've run into an obscure problem. The forum software doesn't let different member IDs use the same email address. You have another memberID with the same email of what you want. I'm assuming these are both you? You can do one of two things: delete one of the accounts, or ensure each one has a unique email address.
The forum software should tell you this, but uses a generic error for it instead.

If he has multiple personality disorder, he should be aloud to have both names under the same e-mail address.
