I just got done building a Upright Mame Cabinet, it works flawlessly and is so much fun, but I gotta pay off some of my student loans. Since this is my first cabinet, and I have no idea how much they sell for, I wanted to get a few of your opinions. Moderators if you feel this post does not belong here, feel free to move it. But anyway this is my mame cabinet. It is not for sale yet, just getting a feeler what I could sell it for.

well, correct me if I am wrong, but most of the software cannot be sold with it. I know the mame software is under liscence right now. and legally one can not cell the roms w/o a liscence as well. If i am wrong... well fire me then. I hate working here. And you wann know some thing else? I....... oops. sorry. maybe i should not write these things from work. I get too emotional.

You're going to have to remove those roms.
Unfortunately, a machine is never worth more than the sum of its parts in the eyes of a buyer. (Or at least in the eyes of a buyer who REALLY knows what they're buying.) Don't expect to be able to charge for the time you spent on it, either.
You've got some expensive stuff in there, though, and Dynamo cabinets are very popular.
I don't want to say a number and be wrong, but I will say that the little things like painting that coin door will make it worth more.
-
Personally? I'd save the cabinet and find another way to pay those student loans. The cab ain't gonna be worth much as far as I'm concerned. I would doubt if I could find anyone to pay more than $200-300 tops. Like Alan said... if it don't look hot, it's not going to sell well.

Pentium 4 Celeron..
K then..

Where are you located? Maybe someone here might want one of those (the slot is calling my name).

What brand is the slot machine...Bally,IGT...others???
do you mean it needs a new coin compariter???
-
BTW, if anyone does buy the slot machine, I have elsctronic coin comparaters for them.

Pentium 4 Celeron..
K then..
haha, i was saying the same exact thing.
and yeah... you need to get rid of those roms. If you really wanted to get the most out of it, you'd probably be better off breaking it apart as was mentioned. Unfortunately, once the machine becomes complete... it gets tougher to sell for a reasonable amount.

well if you do decide to sell it and no one here wants it then PM me. I'll buy it
