It looks good so far... I'm curious to see where you are going to put the controls...

Is it just me, or does that control panel look gigantic relative to the monitor size?

I typically don't like cocktails that aren't Ms Pac Man style, but I like this one.

Looks good but I'm worried that the viewing angle of the monitor will be tough since you will be sitting relatively far from the screen... I can't wait to see this thing with artwork and everything - it sure is unique!

Wow that's a nice job on the painting so far. I stained mine and it came out a little... uneven. I'm putting another coat of stain on there though after a good sanding so I hope everything evens out. I found the hardest part was getting into the corners. Next time I'm definitely painting/staining and sealing before assembly. I don't have any tips but it looks like if you just do the same thing with the paint as you did with the primer everything will come out just fine.
Off-topic: Do you have brakes for those casters? I can't tell from the picture but it's something to think about. The last thing you want is for the cabinet to start rolling away as you are about to get a high score!

I think that the colour is more "evenly distributed" than if I had done one thick coat."
Does anyone have any suggestions for painting the actual black paint? As I said, I haven't painted anything this big before and any tips would be very helpful.
That's the way it's supposed to be done. Do your color coats the same way and you'll be pleased. Do at least 3 coats of color allowing time to dry in-between and then come back with 1000 or higher grit sandpaper and take down all the high spots. You should be good to go.

How are you staining? If you're using a rag to wipe the stain on and off then you should be getting great results.

Should have used a middle grey primer, but oh well. It will just take an extra coat or two ...

I'm not sure I know what a Nintarium is. It's tough commenting on the names people pick out because it may be personal or whatever or not make much sense to someone you don't know... anyway, your cab looks great so far!

Awesome! If it's personal and cool to you then that's all that matters (well, unless you have to go through the wife approval process lke me but that's a whole other issue). The way you described it sounds like it is going to look great in the end - and who doesn't love Nintendo anyway? ;D

I really like this most recent art. I think you should definitely fill the top with graphics, and maybe put some on the CP too. That green picture is awesome! On a side note, the adapter you have for N64, did you get an actual adaptoid, or one of the psx/n64 ones?
