Is it physically possible to stuff a 21 monitor (in vertical orenitation) into a Galaga or since they are the same cabinet, a Ms Pacman??
Can anyone supply the measurements of the "window" in the original Galaga bezel for the monitor?

Well, looking at the cabinet plans at jakobud.com, the dimensions given are 23" inside edge to edge and 21.2" deep on the monitor slant area if you were intending to use an existing cab or model one that mirrors the original.
So I think the answer is "probably".....the bezel may need to be adjusted somewhat but likely not at all...as these were using 19" originally, yes?

I was able to fit a 25" tv into a cab only 23.5" wide. I had to decase it but it was well worth it. You should be able to get a 21" monitor in there easily.

Yeah I don't see why fitting a 21" should be a problem. It'll fit a 19" horizontally so it should easily fit a 21" vertically. It should sit under the original glass bezel just fine to, but any 19" plastic bezel underneath obviously won't fit.

from my experience a decased 21" computer monitor is almost exactly the same size as a 19" arcade monitor. as long as it's not a flat screen you should be able to pretty much install it in the same spot as the original. there will probably need to to be some "customizing" to mount it.
