hey guys, i could use some help, everything was perfect & i was doing final test before i push my cab to the wall on boot up after testing i corrupted windows, fine I changed the boot sequence to boot from cd first so i could use the repair option on the windows xp cd to repair my windows but for some reason my system will not boot from the cd, its going straight to hard drive, i changed all boot options to cd & its still hitting the hard drive, is there a way to force the computer to boot from the cd, since i cannot get it to do this thru the setup menu, im so close to being done
thanks

Are you certain that the CD is bootable?
Easiest way to confirm is unplug the power supply cable from the Hard Drive, thus disabling it.
Does it boot from CD now?

A few recent motherboards boot with a splash screen saying "Abit" or whoever. This screen can cover the press ____ to boot from cd. Make sure any splash screens are disabled.

Have you tried clearing the bios also known as the cmos on your board? You could do this one of two ways:
1. There is a jumper somewhere on the board that says clear cmos, at least on most boards. You have to take it and short it according to your motherboards manual.
2. Disconnect the battery on your motherboard manually for a couple of seconds then reconnect it! This will clear the bios.
