'Beats of Rage' is free and worth a look too (do a google search for it).

or you could get a big steering wheel, a car seat and and make a dedicated ' Tokyo Bus Guide ' Cab. Now that would be slick!!! ....... Come to think of it..... Im Doing It!!!.....

but seriously, some of the best and only ports of some really great shmups are on DC

I don't have any yet (tho I do love them)...I'll get some when my cab is working again.

I think I read that a few of the good DC shmups have been released on xbox too recently...(Castle of Shikigami 2 is one, fwiw)

I can append a few more nonmame shmups to the list:

Trizeal
Choas Field

Although I play a ton of SHMUPS, I really only enjoy Ikaruga and Shikigami No Shiro 2 out of the titles above. I've always wanted to get border down 2, but haven't yet. I prefer ps2 and MAME for my shmupping needs.
