I've got 3 120mm fans that I plan on putting inside my cocktail cab. One on each end under the P1/P2 controls (one intake and one outtake). The third fan is going to be an intake fan on the bottom of the cabinet. Should I flush mount these fans (using a square hole) or just cut a circle roughly the size of the fans and mount them on the inside? I have Midway speaker covers that are going to hide everything and if the fans are flush mounted there's not much room for airflow between the fan and the speaker cover. Thanks!

When doing computer cases, I found it best to mount the fan on the inside of the case behind a hole slightly smaller than the size of the fan, and the grille/filter on the outside. This keeps it looking clean outside and hides the cuts from the hole.

I think that's what I'll do unless anyone has any other suggestions. I'm going to get a 4" hole saw bit for my drill and then mount the fan behind the hole. Maybe I'll even get my router in there with my slot cutter and put some t-molding in there to make it clean even though you won't really be able to see it behind the grill...
