Title: How to disable Scandisk in XP.

I am using mamewah as my windows Xp shell,i don't know how can
i disable scandisk,as every time it automatically starts after bad shutdown.

You need to use NTFS as your file system instead of FAT32.

Do you meand that ? Instead of Fat32 if i make NTFS partition for xp then scandisk will never run in the beginning.
for using mame and mamewah does NTFS partition makes any difference?

NTFS won't make any difference as far as mame or mamewah.  You will never notice any difference except NTFS basically runs it's version of scandisk behind the scenes so you will never notice it's happening.  Basically NTFS is a newer more efficient file system so if your using win2k or xp and don't dual boot with win98 you should be using NTFS imo.

Edit:  That's correct, scandisk will never run at startup if you switch.

Actually i already make my D: drive as NTFS partition for XP but i did not note it before that NTFS has this great feature.

No. There is a Convert to NTFS utility that is part of the OS. That being said, I would try and find a way to rewire your cabinet for a graceful (proper) shutdown. There are many threads here that explain multiple ways of accomplishing this.
