Apologies if this is a daft question.
In addition to my main control panel, my arcade cabinet has two gamepads which happen to be PS2 gamepads via USB to PS2 converter and these are great for use with some console games as well as some native PC games.
However, both are listed with the same name in the games controllers control panel. They are both listed as '4 axis, 16 button joystick'
Can anyone advise how I can change their name to say Gamepad1 and Gamepad2, to allow me to distinguish between them when setting games up
Neither the 'properties' or 'advanced' options appear to have a rename option.
Thanks

I never use those PS2 game pads in PC but as you already told that
there were two game pads (P1 and P2) attached to USB port, then they
must get two different Id's for Both P1 and P2.

I think the ID is set in the hardware and cannot be changed :(. Windows distinguishes between them depending which one is plugged in first, IIRC.

Yep. It reads the ID and other information from the USB chip in the device. Just label the controllers C1 and C2 and plug C1 in first.
