I'm just wondering if there were a few kind souls who use TV's through S-Video to post some pictures of how "readable" the text is in windows. I plan on making my cabinet this way and am worried about the text in windows.
Thanks in advance,
M

they are readable.just pimp up the font size.Again...you get what you pay for..TV suck...so bad..you will loose your eyesight. :)
okay maybe s-video looks pretty good.

I plan on using a Sony WEGA 27" Flat-Tube with a GeForce4 Ti4600. Any specific information on either of these would be usefull.
-
Geforce 4 ti4600 would be wayyyy too overkill for Mame. It hardly even uses any video processing power, just get a card with minimum 32megs ram or so and make sure it has nice video-out. ATI is one of the better cards IMO.

Unless of your he also plans to play PC games.

Yes, I plan on building a rather updated machine to play PC games with also. Looks like I just might have to save for a long while and buy the Princeton Graphics Arcadia 2.7FTX

A little steep but it has gotten rave reviews.

My cabinet has a 24" Sony Wega. I am VERY pleased w/ how it looks. Your setup will look great. Don't waste you money on those Princeton monitors/tvs. They are nice but I guarantee you will be more than pleased w/ that Wega.

Oh well I think I'm gonna stick with the TI-4600 anyway seeing as I can buy it from my friend who received two as a gift for $100. It's a Leadteck too.
-Jackobud How readable is windows on your WEGA?

yo...those prinstons..dont they have VGA inputs too..
THEN you get best of both world..play pc games and consoles without any problem..only problem..they are not cheap...$500 a pop right?
