Title: How many pins....
Post by: gajaman on May 03, 2002, 07:02:36 am
...does the ATI all-in-wonder 128 have on the s-video connector? My laptop mobility card has 7 (making it hard to get  a lead), but my sister's geforce card has 4, using a standard lead.

If you have one can you look at the pins and let me know - muchos gracias amigos.

It also has 7 pins, but... it accepts a standard s-video cable.  It is designed to put a standard s-vid signal on the outer 4 pins.  If you wanted composite video, then you would need a special lead to tap the inner pins (pin 2).

my ATI AIW128 came with ta short little "break-out cable". One end plugs to the card, and the cable y's to leads for composite video and S-Video. (May also be a third plug, I can't remember right now...).

My point is that the special cable should have been included w/ the AIW128...
