I have seen the stepmania stuff out there.. but have never tried it.
anyone out there using this?  Is this 'dance pad' compatable?
Is it fun?  Is it hard to configure?  ;)

stepmania = a 99% true copy of DDR, exact step patterns, pad compatable (with a PS to USB convertor)

it rules, i run it on my cab and pull up my pads when i want

I have the program installed.. you'd think it would be easy to
find the music and other misc files?  ???

anyone got any good links?

The link for source forge works and you can get the app there.  DDRUK  (http://www.ddruk.com/index.php) seems like a good resource and message board, but if others know of a better community / resource site. I'd like to know as well.

Here is a good link for a beginner trying to set it up:

and if you click on the SIMFILES DATABASE off to the left, you
can download .zip files of songs with the music and data files....

Now.. I haven't found any that seem to be 'easier' yet.
(like the level of difficulty in the first DDR game)
They all seem to be super intense... do songs have different
'difficulties' in Stepmania?  I haven't found anything yet to make it easier....

Okay.. I'm on my way with stepmania now.. I guess no need for DDR.
