Title: Does the IPAC support L/R Triggers for XBOX?
Post by: xonix_digital on June 30, 2005, 12:56:31 pm
Does the IPAC support L/R Triggers for XBOX?

I noticed the ipac has just enough inputs for all of the buttons (except for the back button) but on the site it never said anything about L/R trigger support..

Thanks Guys!

ps. if you know how to wire all buttons, or just that it can be done with the ipac let me know.

i know with the IPAC you have space for 10 buttons.  8 actual buttons, 1 start, and 1 coin.  with all of your buttons you can have X, Y, A, B, BLACK, WHITE, L, R, and then use start and coing for start and back respectively.  the L and R buttons just have switches in them like any other button, the only difference is that they have a trigger on them instead of an actual button to press.

I thought that since they were analog triggers that there wouldn't be any little button to press inside. They have like a gradual measurement of how far the trigger has been pulled.

Thats just what one kid said so I really don't know...

yes... they are "Two analog pressure-point triggers"

I would think you COULD connect them to a nomal input on the IPAC, but its going to be a 0 or a 10 on a normally pressure sensitive switch, like a gas or brake pedal that would slowly increase.

OH NO!!!!!
I actually just emailed Ultimarc and they said that there isn't any support for the L and R triggers on the Xbox as of now. Supposedly they are working on a new model that will but I have yet to hear back as to when it will be available.

If I hear anything I will let you know.

My first iPac I bought just a few weeks before the NEW version of the iPac.  Now I just recently bought ANOTHER iPac for my xbox arcade machine (got it 3 days ago)....  I must have some kind of luck.  =)

Better late than never I guess.  =)

I have a modded xbox in my arcade machine.  The boot time is fantastic, I'm still messing around with it though.  Once it's playable I notice that I don't tinker near as much for fear the kids will lynch me if I don't KEEP it playable.  heh.

Any news on the new iPac?

Any news on the new iPac?

Note sure if xonix_digital is right, but last I heard there were no plans for a new IPAC, although the Xbox adaptor was undergoind some improvements (I'm hoping the Soul Calibur 2 problem will be fixed...)

Left and Right trigger support works with the X-Arcade BYOA kit w/ Xbox adapter.
