Hi guys, I was wondering if touching wires matter in a JAMMA cabinet. I am going to try any power everything up tonight, and I know that there are some wires that I won't connect just to test all of my stuff. Does it matter if these wires are touching? Will it short something out or damage the PCB?
Thanks,
Matt

are you asking if loose wires (not connected to anything) that have copper showing is a moderate risk for a short that could toast your PCB? Well yeah... possibly. You could temporarily shlop some electrical tape over the exposed ends just in case, before you power it up and bend the wires away from eachother/other bad places to touch...
Just cause you have loose wires doesn't automatically mean you'll toast your game/monitor/etc... but you're increasing your risk of accidently do something stupid/costly with a bump here or there while you're reaching in there or whatever...
good luck...

PS wire nuts also work nice but are probably overkill for a test run...
