Does anyone have a good site for Street Fighter 3 artwork? It seems the links i found searching here and on google were filled with dead links. I want to make some arkwork for the cab I'm planning, and Street Fighter 3 would be mint. Thanks!

I have a SFIII marquee, but no other atwork. I could scan it for you but it would be in 2 pieces as it's pretty long.
Let me know if you want it amd I'll see what I can do.

Nah, you don't have to bother with that if it's a hassle. I was just looking for any artwork involving characters from the game, it doesn't have to be official. Thanks!

It's no big hassle. All I have to do is turn on the scanner and run 'er through. :)
I'll get to it by Monday. The characters on the marquee are Chun Li and some new guy, on a green background with the title in the center.

I hope you up this one; not sure if I've seen it anywhere. I thought SF3 only used this marquee, but of course I've never actually seen it in the wild or played it on the consoles :'(

That's not the one I have. :)
Actually, after looking at it again, I see mine is a "Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike."

Okay, I scanned it last night at 300dpi... and it maxed out my system memory. :(
I had to scan it in 3 sections because it's so large.
What resolution/size should I be scanning this at, so it would be suitable for vectorization? At 300 dpi 8.5x30" in length, it's upwards of 60MB in size!
Are there any detail/file/compression guidelines I should use for scanning artwork?
Also, what file format should I save it in when finished? TIFF? I'm using photoshop for the scanning.
And last but not least... should I try and put the 3 pieces togeather, or should I leave them apart so the pros can assemble them?
Thanks,
Rook

Holy cow! I used a friends scanner and the only scanning software she had was some greeting card maker thing...It only allowed me to import photos as *.bmp ??? files and even those were about 30 megs a piece when marquees were done in 300 dpi in three parts. I recommend jpeg with the lowest compression selected. I did this with all mine(after they were copied to my compy) and they all got down to about 15 megs with little to none of the normal jpeg jagginess. I hope you can up this to the Library. I've already sent the Final Fight marquee to Mahuti with about 14 more on the way.

If you don't care about official art, check out some of the artwork of Falcoon. He started out doing fan art but now is working for SNK/Playmore doing the KOF artwork. I can't seem to fnd his official site (which has probably 300 pieces of artwork from a ton of different games), but this site seems to have all of the SF3 series that he did:

If you would like official art, there are a ton of sites around, and I have the strategy guide for SF3 (the first one) which has some decent reproductions of the art. I could do some high-res scans if you need them.

ive never seen that site before, its awesome, that guy falcoon is great too

I upped the SF3: 3rd Strike marquee to the archive.
Unfortunately, it's pretty large and my scanner is only so big, so someone with better skills than mine will have to splice the pieces togeather.
It's at 300 dpi, JPG format.

Are there any vectorized or high-res SF3:3S logo pics out there? Google's coming up with nothing and the marquee seems a little dark to me... :-\
-
Unfortunately, what you see is what I had. The marquee really IS quite dark in color, with a green gradiant going from deep green to near black. It lightens up with a light behind it of course.
Right now I just don't have the skills necessary to vector it properly. Or at all. I haven't had time to learn Illustrator as work has been exceedingly busy.
