The vasy majority of the games on them are lame, and they use emulation just like a home-built machine.

They've stolen everything:

- The original game roms from the manufacturers
- MAME code running on a PC attached to a VGA->Arcade converter
- ArcadeOS front end

Rumors are they have horrible emulation, slow processors, high skip rates, out of sync audio, etc...

Why give $400 to a pirate when, if you have to pirate anyway, just use Mame yourself and make it work better.

Much cheaper & better to just buy a cheap used PC and a JPAC.

Do these come with front ends? I play a muticade or somthing at the local go cart track, its had prolly 100 games and a nifty scrolling front end, but yeah, ken would not throw a fireball to save his life,

funny thing is im really good at street fighter and there was this kid next me playing a marvel.vs.capcom cab. he kept looking at me like i was this retard with no love for SF. i kept saying this things broke it wont even throw firballs.lol

As far as I know the 400-in-1 crap also ripped off ArcadeOS for a front end.

Here's the previous thread about these boards:

I just tried a 400 in 1 Game Box this sunday.

It is interresting. The PCB itself look nice and build professionnaly.

The Front End is ArcadeOS  (i don't really like it, not really readable on the screen).  The set of games provided with the board is very good and various.  I just plays few of them , and it runs very well.  Lot of text and loading screen are in Japanese (or chinese) language...

There is lot of switch on the board which allow to customize your configuration.  The documentation is off course in Japanese or chinese , so not easy to find the right settings.  There are different way to manage credit , to select if you want start on a game or on front end..etc..etc..

The PCB can be a good choice for who don't want put a PC / JPAC  in their cab.  The price could seems expensive , but when you see the board you can imagine there is lot of work of R&D behind  , so you have to pay for it.

But for sure  , the card  is no more than an on board PC with MAME and Arcade OS.  So except the Board itself, you can easly do the same thing for less than 400$.
