Agreed..

World Of Warcraft
TrackMania Sunrise

My Review for TM:S

Quote
Arcade Racing, At its finest?

A not so well known racing game due to lack of media, and advertising.. likes its older brother Trackmania, its one of those games you MIGHT find in a store, and if you do, itll be the only copy.

Graphics 9/10

Well. Basicly, its one of the nicest looking racers in a loooong time. Sure Need For Speed Underground 1/2 look great, suuure forza just looks pretty in high def, but its all so, i dunno, boring.. Same old streets, same old best buy buildings and advertisement signs.. gets old and quick.. but Trackmania? Has none of that, its just pretty, without the ---auto-censored---..

Controls 9/10

Well, again with the keyboard thing, so ignore that.. With a gamepad, the controls are dead on for the most part for what an arcade racing game should feel like, at least in my opinion.. You push left, you turn left, you push the gas, you go.. pretty basic..

Sound 8/10

Being a bit nice with the 8/10 lemme explain..

The car sounds, great. The skid sounds, Ok. The crash and landing impact sounds, Good. The music, Meh..

The music in this game, well, its so totally random that its hard to even like.. theres a few bands on here, that are decent, and the techno stuff isnt bad. but they added some retardedly slow hip hop wannabe stuff that just makes you want to murder yourself with a coathanger or something.. BUT the plus side, you can kill the ingame music and load up winamp.. hense the 8/10

Gameplay/Funfactor 9/10

Single Player, Just owns.. theres puzzle tracks, platform mode, just TOOOOONS of things to do.. and when you think you mastered it all, jump online and play against some people on some pretty hardcore user made maps.. and lets not forget the track editor, the skin editor, and all the other crazy things this game has..

Overall Score 9/10
Soap Approved Goodness [/I]

Without a doubt, the BEST arcade racer there is out there. With the litterally 1000s if maps that have been made and 100s of parts to use to make maps, theres just so much content your head would cave in trying to comprehend it..

GO
BUY
IT
NOW

Video..

*warning*
Video contains music, which DOES have bad language, thus if your at work (why your at *** at work is beyond me) make sure the sounds off.. tho the music is poorly edited anyways.. If anyone wants to know, the song is by Mc Chris.. just google him, first album is free on his site..

If you game online, Battlefield2 is very impressive. The singleplayer mode however, is crap.

TMS sounds really good, i'll give it a look.

I'm not much of an online gamer, the main point for me is a great single player mode so in your opinion "zero hour" BF2 is not for me.

I have to go and get some more Ram in a few days so hopefully i will get some more feed back on some more good games and pick one that has great graphics and of coarse good gameplay.

It's on the older side and has a lot of RPG elements (Not for everyone), but the ORIGINAL Deus Ex is one of the best games ever made.  The sequel... the sequel made me wanna cry.  To tell why I so detest the game would include a HUGEEEEEEEEE spoiler.

Quake and Quake II have great singleplayer modes, you should be able to pick them up for like 50 cents each, and that comp should run them 1600x1200 at about 400 frames per second!!  ;D

You get Sunrise for 15? or the old TM..

That would be sad if Sunrise is down to 15 already, it just came out :(

Go to
http://www.gamerankings.com and do your research. They pull reviews from a ton of sites to come up with an average.

For example the top list of FPS is

1. Half-Life 2    PC
2. Half-Life    PC
3. Unreal Tournament    PC
4. Unreal Tournament 2004    PC
5. Call of Duty    PC
6. Medal of Honor Allied Assault    PC
7. The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay - Developer's Cut    PC
8. No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way    PC    Sierra Entertainment
9. Far Cry    PC
10. The Operative: No One Lives Forever    PC

If you want a title that is lower ranked take a hard look at the reviews and make your judgement.

I've been playing Star Wars Republic Commando, not for everyone for sure but I find it an enjoyable FPS with squad based elements.  Single player is fun!
I keep all versions of Quake loaded for a quick fragfest, the first two look dated, because they are, but they are still a bit of a challenge.

Also, picked up Contract J.A.C.K. for a buck at one of the local dollar stores, I like it.

And don't forget Armed and Dangerous and both Serious Sam games.  Serious Sam Gold includes 1 and 2 and can be had at EB for about 5 bux.  These games add some much needed humor and smart-ass comments during gameplay, A&D has a Monty Python flavor to it!  ;D

Enjoy!
ARCADIAC!

I can tell you what is currently installed on my system:

Battlefield 2 demo
UT2K4
BF1942
Mechwarrior 4 and expansions
M$ Flight Combat Sim Europe
Battle Over Britain
Falcon 4.0 with a bunch of the free mods
Chessmaster 10th Edition
Splinter Cell Pandora's Tomorrow
MOHAA
GTA Vice City
Simpsons Hit & Run
Command and Conquer Zero Hour
Shogun Total War
Starcraft and Brood War
Warcraft II BE
TurboSliders
Gish

Nothing too new tough.  Probably the BF2 ant UT2K4 are the only things that actually stress the system.

The No ONe Lives Forever games are a must.  The writing is so good you'll find yourself just hiding in the shadows for like 10 minutes at a time just to hear the conversations between the evil guards.  Those games are a blast.

Chronicles of Riddick was also spectacular.  I'm playing Far Cry now and it's really good and has great graphics.  MOHAA was really good too.

I really enjoyed Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic 1 & 2. Nice change from my steady diet of FPS and your choices affect the outcome of the game.

I also recently picked up Lego Star Wars for my daughter ( she loves Barbie and Star wars  go figure) and I think I enjoy that one more than her.  Not saying you should go pick it up, but if any younger children will be using the PC might be worth it.

As Shmokes mentioned the Splinter Cell games are very good.

Most Reccomended games starting with the best.

Half-Life 2 (especially now that some quality mods are trickling out)
BF2
UT2K4

Older games like Red Alert, Age of Empires II, and quake are always fun. (and cheap)

Star Trek: Bridge Commander is an awesome game. And dont immediatley assume its bad because its Star Trek. This was probably the only good Star Trek Game ever made

I still play warcraft 3 on b.net from time to time.  It is really hard to learn, but once you do, the games are very fun and rewarding.  I recently bought warhammer to play online, but was extremely disappointed when hardly any people were playing it online.  It is another fun RTS.
