we can obviously buy jamma pcbs off ebay now for around
-
On average, $500 - $1500. They usually came as "kits", never just the board by itself (unless it was a bootleg). Kit's include new control panel overlay art, marquee, side-art, bezel, manual, and sometimes even new joysticks and buttons.

Time to get the time machine out.

Yep, I actually acquired a complete Konami "Road Fighter" kit still in original box a few years back.
It contained.
PCB (in a bag, in a smaller box inside the main box).
A wiring harness.
Joystick + buttons (translucent leaf, wh00t!!)
Control panel overlay.
Control panel stickers
Marquee
sideart.
Instruction cards to go on the existing bezel.
Manual.
FCC sticker
dip switch settings sheet.
Advertisement poster for the game.
That kit was probably $1000 back in 1985, I believe I gave $20 for it.

I've thought about buying some kits that I've seen on eBay from time to time. It seems like it'd be kinda cool to collect some of them, kinda like how you can collect full Neo Geo cart kits.
