Hi,
I'm tired of searching. I'm looking for a 7-button cutout template But I want the cool curved one.
Anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks

I got Jason's Visio Stencils from that page and altered them.
If you're interested, shoot me a PM. I have a .vsd file with a lot of different button clusters including 6 button fighter, 6 button angled, 7 curved, etc etc.
I wanted to have them on hand just like you, so if you want them, they might at least serve as a starting point for you. :)

Here is one I just made for my new fighter panel.

I am trying to decide if i want 7 or possibly 8 buttons. I was gonna do 7 but I also want to toss in a DC and in the console area saw people going with 8 having the extra one just below the 7th. Has anyone tried this or know if its a good idea to do for the DC?
-
why do you need dc? I can see for psx. But dc just has the two shoulders and A,B,X,Y
-
Wow, good call, I just noticed where someone else used 8 for some reason and I dont have my dc here with me to look at it, 7 is all I need ;D
Thanks

Markrvp, that was the layout I want. Thank you. I too will be rotating the buttons so that the angle is not so extreme.
-
would that layout work for Xbox controls if one was building a universal CP?

Is the curved really better, has anyone used both and have an opinion, pro's con's of either?
I'm getting close to the cuttin' stage ;D

It's totally personal preference. Mock them both up on a piece of cardboard and play with them for a few minutes. I like the curved layout a lot.. some people hate it. You need to try it for yourself to know.

markrvp, any chance I can get that layout in like a pdf or something. I'm having problems printing it at the right size.

I had problems with it printing as well, so I just eye balled it and did it on my own, probably made the buttons a hair to far apart from each other though...

Here is the PDF version.

Thank you very much. I started drilling last night. I will post in project announcements with pics maybe later tonight.
Thank you very much for your help and for saving me from many time wasting errors.
