Title: MAME Assistance in Los Angeles? Any experts?
Post by: poncho13 on June 21, 2005, 06:46:15 pm
Hi Guys,

Looking for any local help on my MAME cabinet (in the Los Angeles area).    having issues with my Wells Gardner 9200 monitor and my computer system.   I will pay a friendly "Mamer" for their time and effort.

I really appreciate any help as I am not very tech savy.

You can contact me at Glokum@yahoo.com

Thanks.

What's the question? Perhaps it can be answered here.

There's a certain satisfaction in getting it done yourself. If you pay someone else to do it you might feel like you cheated.

2 Issues

The Wells Gardner 9200 Monitor doesn't display white correctly (it is more of a gray).    When the "no signal" display is on (the colors are perfect), so it makes me think it is a computer/video card issue.    I have also switched out the VGA cable to no effect.  I've also tried to play with brightness/contrast/etc. setting with no decent resolution.    It did display colors correctly before, but just went out a couple of months ago.

Also, my computer went through a fatal error recerntly so I reinstalled XP.   Luckily it didn't erase my hard drive, but still concerned that the computer is unstable.

I would prefer getting someone to look at my system since I've tried the boards and doing corrections on my own (but I make the problem worse).  Maybe I can learn something as well if someone more savy would take a look at things.

Thanks.
