the kit arrives in a big box and consists of a fibreglass hull (unpigmented), die cut plywood reinforcement shapes and a big bag of nuts, bolts and other bits and pieces. the keel and rudder are made out of plastic. the ballest bulb is a big lump of lead.

the first things to do was to drill the various required holes for the hull fittings and glue the wooden strengthening to the hull using an epoxy type glue.

as the factory join between the top and bottom halfs of the hull was not 100% flush, I used auto bodyfiller to ensure finish when painted will be as good as possible.

I think this has something to do with the fact that this is BYOAC not BYO---boat.

It seems that alot of posts in this forum are off topic ie this one and arcade vga or monitor hack? which is better?  and do i need to add buttons?  to name a few!!

Maybe you could make the controller out of a Star Wars yoke or something. That'd be on topic and also send some people into a tizzy.  ;)
